The Hydro HE unit transfers waste heat to or from your VRF system to produce hot water up to 122°F (50°C) or chilled water down to 41°F (5°C), improving overall system efficiency. Compatible with Samsung R-32 DVM S2+, and DVM S Mini systems, it can be applied with traditional indoor units or in hydro-only configurations..

A single unit can supply both domestic hot water and space heating, such as radiant floors, with adjustable priority. Built-in Wi-Fi allows easy control and monitoring through the Samsung SmartThings app.

    HOW IT WORKS 
    Using refrigerant discharged from the compressor, water is heated efficiently by directing hot gas discharged  from a heat pump or heat recovery outdoor unit into a refrigerant to water plate heat exchanger (PHE).  Not only does this capture potentially wasted heat, but it can also improve the efficiency of the heat pump unit (conditions apply) and reduce or eliminate the need to use fossil fuels for water heating purposes.

    New system accessory, Mechanical Shut-off Valve Box (MSB) has been introduced for 1- to 12 port. Each outlet port of the Mode Change Unit (MCU), and MSB is equipped with a shut-off valve to isolate the downstream refrigerant circuit when a leak is detected, minimizing refrigerant release.
