DVM S2+ Max Heat® is the latest generation of R-32 Samsung low ambient VRF systems boasting high heating performance at -22°F (-30°C) with 100% heating capacity at -13°F (-25°C).

6, 8, and 10 ton modules available in both Heat Pump and Heat Recovery. Connect up to 3 units for system capacities up to 24 tons.

      SHUT-OFF VALVES

      New system accessory, Shut-off Valve Box (SVB) has been introduced for 1- to 12 port. Each outlet port of the Mode Change Unit (MCU), and SVB is equipped with a shut-off valve to isolate the downstream refrigerant circuit when a leak is detected, minimizing refrigerant release.

      All DVM S2+ indoor units, MCU, and SVB are manufactured with Refrigerant Detection Sensors (RDS) inside the unit to continuously monitor for refrigerant leaks within or adjacent to the unit, providing early detection and automatic response to enhance occupant safety.

      REFRIGERANT VOLUME REDUCTION

      R-32 is more efficient than R-410a and requires less refrigerant, allowing the system to use smaller diameter piping. R-32 factory refrigerant charge of ODU will go down about 20% compared to R410a system charge will decrease on average 15%, depending on installation. Additionally, the main liquid pipe diameter from the outdoor unit to the first HR MCU or Y-joint can be further reduced. Accordingly, the installation site can reduce not only the cost of refrigerant, but also the cost of piping and insulation. Conditions apply.

    ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) TECHNOLOGY

    DVM S2+ Max Heat® systems incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Deep Neural Network algorithms¹ and local data processing through an integral AI chip. This technology enables the equipment to maintain precise target pressures and temperatures by analyzing historical and real-time operating data, improving performance and reducing energy consumption.


     

    AI ADAPTIVE CONTROL

    The AI algorithm continuously learns system and environmental conditions to maintain optimal pressure, delivering up to 25% energy savings without having to change IDU set temp, keeping indoor temperature and comfort levels stable. Activate AI Proactive Saving mode on the SmartThings App. This mode adjusts the speed to reach the set temperature for maximum energy savings, keeping the compressor at the most efficient level while meeting load demands.


    AI PRE-CONDITIONING

    With AI Schedule, the system pre-heats or pre-cools in advance to ensure the desired temperature is reached on time, regardless of weather or load. This improves efficiency, eliminates delays, and maintains comfort by accurately predicting the required heating or cooling time.


    AI ENERGY MANAGER

    The AI algorithm meets the monthly target consumption by controlling current. The energy manager can limit power consumption by up to 33% compared to the power that would have been consumed if it had not operated.


    AI HIGH AND LOW PRESSURE CONTROL

    Learns the recent cooling operation pattern² so that the memory cycle status can help reach a targeted low pressure to create the cooling environment desired by the user. To control high pressure, the system automatically recognizes the installed system pipe length and vertical separation and adjusts the target high pressure and reduces unnecessary high pressure, thereby reducing the energy used by the compressor by up to 15%². 


    AI LOW REFRIGERANT MONITORING

    Uses data from various sensors embedded in indoor and outdoor units to determine the amount of refrigerant required to maintain the system and ensure the best performance³. The system also monitors refrigerant volume in real time during cooling operation and displays a warning code for checkup on the outdoor unit PCB and in central controls (conditions apply).


    AI DEFROST

    Learns and trends fan motor current to detect ice formation on the condenser coil during heating operation. This also detects temperature in order to increase heating operation duration between defrost cycles to reduce overall defrost cycle duration.
